FAQs and File Prep

Can Rich Print design and prepare my job for print?

Absolutely! We offer full service graphics. Just let us know what you want and we will create it, or work with an existing design to arrive at a solution perfect for your needs. We work with large and small businesses and individual clients – whatever the size of your job, it’s important to us and will receive personal attention.

I have a digital file of my job already completed, can I simply deliver the file to be printed?

Yes, if your file is already “Print-Ready”, just deliver it to us via e-mail or drop off a file at our location. See Guidelines for details on file formats and some basics on how to prepare your file.

What file formats/applications are supported?

Microsoft Word, Publisher, Corel, etc. do not create "Print-Ready" files for output. Jobs submitted using these applications will require in-house preparation to ready your files for printing. Let us know if you'd like a quote for in-house file prep.

Files saved at high quality 300 dpi resolution from any program as a TIFF, PDF or EPS are supported. Programs such as QuarkXpress/InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Freehand will all create “Print-Ready” files.

Guidelines

Basic file preparation guidelines:  When using Adobe Illustrator and Freehand, convert all text to outlines. Save your file as a PDF. In Photoshop, save file as a flattened EPS, PDF, JPG or TIFF. When using QuarkXpress or InDesign, include all fonts and linked images along with a PDF format file.
